'The Trinity' Commissioned by the Bishop of Exeter and his wife, this work is in the Palace Gardens, Exeter, Devon. The concept of this commission comes from our need for others, our desire for communication and our hope for support. I decided to create two men and a woman. The father is seen as holding, the son receiving and the spirit of the female, as giving. 'Trinity' for the Bishop of Exeter and is in the Palace gardens. Trinity represents the Holy Trinity, with three separate figures relating to each other with the viewer invited to join and walk among them. Carved in Beer stone each figure weights approximately 3 tons. |
